VIN or The Vehicle Identification Number is a 17-character unique serial number
used by the automotive industry to identify individual motor vehicles and does not
include the letters I (i), O (o), or Q (q) (to avoid confusion with numerals 1 and
0). The VIN of your vehicle can be obtained from the registration, title, or actual
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United States of America
standardizes and administers the vehicle identification number (VIN) system. The
distinct 17 digit combination in your VIN helps to keep track of problems, ownership
changes, and deter theft. The combination of numbers and characters are broken into
sections such as,
